DESCRIPTION:\n \n\n\n\n\nPER Live Series is a recurring set of discussions involving finance and business thought leaders. Topics address the important economic issues of our time.\n\n\n\n\nVenue and Time:\n\nThis event will take place via Zoom meeting on Wednesday\, November 11th from 11:00AM to 12:15PM (EST). A Zoom invitation will be sent to registered attendees the morning of the event. Registration details below. \n\nThis event is open to the public\, but designed for Job Market Candidates and other Columbia University graduate students in Economics. \n  \n  \n  \n\nSpeakers: \n\n\nAdam Rej\, Ph.D.\nExecutive Director\, Capital Fund Management (CFM)\nAdam Rej is an Executive Director at Capital Fund Management. He completed his PhD at Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam and he held postdoctoral positions at Imperial College London\, Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton\, and École Normal Supérieure in Paris. He joined CFM in 2014 and focuses on systematic global macro research. \n  \nProfessor David Thesmar\, Ph.D.\nFranco Modigliani Professor of Financial Economics\, MIT Sloan School of Management; Research Associate\, National Bureau of Economic Research\nDavid Thesmar is the Franco Modigliani Professor of Financial Economics at the MIT Sloan School of Management\, and a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. His research has been published widely in leading academic journals\, and focuses on behavioral economics\, corporate finance and asset management.
