Research Assistant Position
Professor Olivier Darmouni is looking to hire a Research Assistant for a project looking at the behavior of corporate giants (Apple, Facebook, etc.) or “superstar firms”, which play an increasingly larger role in the global economy. In particular, it aims to understand how these corporate giants invest their cash. For instance, Apple holds so much financial securities (such as bonds) that it is often referred to as one of the largest hedge funds in the world.
The tasks would involve collecting and organizing financial data on these companies, as well as doing some analysis.
This position would be a great experience for anyone considering applying to graduate school or a job in a financial institution. The position involves working in a research team, collaborating with other research assistants and graduate students. We are looking for highly motivated recruits.
Working knowledge of Excel is a prerequisite, while knowledge of/interest in R is a plus.
You would start ASAP until December 20th. Workload is 10h/week (with some flexibility), paid $15/hour.
