Hunter College is proud to offer a stimulating, rigorous education in a collegial atmosphere. Our standard MA program takes one year and provides students with a wide range of technical and academic skills. More information on the MA program at this link.

We are also launching a second, more intensive, MA program that offers deeper training and prepares students for PhDs in the social sciences. This is a collaboration between Hunter College and the African School of Economics, and will be supported by guest faculty from several area universities. Our larger objective is to address the grievous under-representation of African, African-American and other minority students in economics. However, the program is open to all.  More information on this new MA program at this link.

We realize that many students are operating in a state of uncertainty, and that earlier plans might have fallen through. We have extended our application deadlines and dropped GRE requirements for Fall 2021.
