We are also launching a second, more intensive, MA program that offers deeper training and prepares students for PhDs in the social sciences. This is a collaboration between Hunter College and the African School of Economics, and will be supported by guest faculty from several area universities. Our larger objective is to address the grievous under-representation of African, African-American and other minority students in economics. However, the program is open to all. We realize that many students are operating in a state of uncertainty, and that earlier plans might have fallen through. We have extended our application deadlines and dropped GRE requirements for Fall 2021.
