Nandita Krishnaswamy

PhD Candidate
Bio:
I am a sixth-year PhD candidate in Economics at Columbia University. My research interests lie at the intersection of labor and development, with a particular focus on agricultural labor markets. My job market paper focuses on the impact of agricultural price supports on production decisions and spillovers to the non-agricultural sector. My other work ranges from experimentally quantifying labor market frictions arising from informal labor unions, to investigating the extent to which incorrect rainfall predictions reduce farmer welfare. I have experience teaching or assisting with a variety of undergraduate and masters-level courses. I will be available at the ASSA meetings in Philadelphia, PA, between Jan 5th and 7th, 2018, for interviews.
